A great victory to our Senior Zone side today against Zone 13, thanks to Gerald Weinberg for the report: Today we played Zone 13 at Eastlakes and won 98-67 (6-1).

the report: Today we played Zone 13 at Eastlakes and won 98-67 (6-1).
Ray Coombes, Alan Burton, Wal Picklum and John Cleverly started badly dropping a six and 2 fours to be 0-15 and then 4-20 after 7 ends. In a remarkable turnaround we recovered to 23 all on the 19th end, dropped a 1 and then on the last end Ray converted from 1 down to 1 up and drew a second shot with his last bowl to win 25-24. Les Thorne, Eddie Truesdale, Vince Cataldi and Ken Cooper were up against Reg McCulla. Leading 8-7 after 9 ends we scored a 5 and kept the lead to win 25-13. My team of Paul Roseland, Brandon Conway and Pepe Glickwere leading 7-5 after 7 ends against Phil Matthews but took control, scoring 4 fours and 2 thr...ees during the match to win 33-12. Jack Kampel with Bernard Fridman Harry Black and John McDonald were never in front but caught up to 13 all on the 17th end against Ron Higham. They ended up losing 15-18.

A very good win for us overall.
